Re: Transit Bus Loop Station in Cornell

It has been brought to my attention that a motion was brought to Regional Council to build a temporary bus loop at the corner of Country Glen road and Church Street. The loop would have eight shelters with approximately 30 buses an hour coming through the community of Cornell. That is a bus every two minutes with buses waiting while making up time on their schedules.

This decision was made without any input from the residents. Through fast action and the support of Renee Torrington, president of the Cornell Ratepayers Association, the Regional Council has delayed proceeding until the residents have an opportunity to meet and discuss the project.

I have called a Community Meeting to discuss the matter and to keep you informed.

If you have questions and concerns but are unable to attend the meeting, please send them to me and I will make sure they are answered for you at the meeting. Please send them to my attention at:
