230kV circuit, bus & capacitor trip at Richview T.S..

At 06:25 circuit R2K (230kV Richview x Manby) , Richview A2 bus and SC22 (411Mx) capacitor bank tripped from primary protection. Early reports are that the cause of the trip is a fire on the SC22 capacitor bank at Richview. Discussions with IESO indicated a load loss of 1500MW in the Ontario system with numerous customers calling in to the OGCC. Hydro One personnel are on site and fire crews have been dispatched to Richview.

[Update] : Fire on the capacitor was extinguished at 07:30.
