York Region Transit Route Changes

The 9th Line is open, and I have received information that the Bus Routes in the east end will be changing as of Monday, November 26, 2007.

YRT has received positive feedback regarding the temporary Route 85 routing via Bur Oak Avenue.

Effective Monday November 26, 2007, Route 2A – 14th Avenue and Route 9 – 9th Line will operate along 9th Line (back to original routing).  Route 2A – 14th Avenue and Route 9 – 9th Line will no longer service Bur Oak Avenue.

The following routes will continue to service Bur Oak Avenue are:

            Route 1 – Hwy 7

            Route 85 – 16th Avenue

            Route 201 – Markham GO Shuttle

            Route 303 – Cornell Express

There are future plans to extend Route 85 further east of 9th Line and service Cornell Rouge Blvd.  This future Route 85 extension will service the proposed bus terminal/loop at Hwy 7.  The Route 85 service along Bur Oak Avenue will be removed when Route 85 is extended to Cornell Rouge Blvd
