BMO, (The Bank of Montreal) is Committed to Markham Main Street

New bank branches have been popping up north and south of the Main Street of Markham, and the TD Canada Trust has closed its Main Street Branch to move north.  This has caused a lot of residents to call me with their concerns about the viability of Main Street.  One of the anchors of a business district is a bank.

I am please to find that the Bank of Montreal is not only committed to stay on Main Street Markham, but is also investing in an upgrade to the building.

This upgrade will make the bank accessible to all customers by being barrier free, and it will enhance the architecture of the building, and therefore will also enhance the street.

BMO understands that the Original Downtown Markham Main Street is a viable place to locate a business and serve its customers.
