Update June 2007- Open House Meetings Planned.
We have realized that Pathways and Trails are not only an amenity for recreation, but also an alternative to Gridlocked Roads.
Since December of 2005, we have been studying and holding public input meetings to identify links and extensions as well as new pathway opportunities and trail connections with the objective to create a system of connected pathways and trails.
Please follow this link to the Town of Markham for more information.

We've completed the Pathways and Trails Master Plan and yes we are moving ahead with the implementation of trails in Milne Park connecting the existing trails to Main St Markham or Markham Rd. This was made possible through funding from the Province as part of the Municipal Infrastructure Improvement Fund. The proposed trail connection will be a huge benefit to the community. The design process for the Milne trail just began and Renee Chong and Lorenzo Mele are heading the project. We will be holding public meetings in the fall once we have the design options and alignments available. In the meantime, if you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to contact me.
