WHAT THIS MEANS FOR DIVERSITY

With the support from the Markham Board of Trade and their Members, Volunteers, Business Owners and Sponsors, this event will bring the community together in exciting, memorable new ways. In designing the Stampede, we have been very sensitive to diversity.  Country music, line dancing and games of chance are cultural bridges. We have created an event steeped in North American tradition, but infused it with entertainment; attractions and menus, which will make all visitors, feel welcome.

As part of a vast program, The Stampede will feature two rodeo shows. You will surely hear that there are people who feel rodeo is an inhumane sport to animals.  We respect everyone’s right to an opinion, and the right to make choices, which is why the event was designed with many points of attraction for appeal and inclusiveness of everyone.
