10,000 Trees for the Rouge

10,000 Trees for the Rouge is looking for volunteers to help plant trees in the Rouge Valley on Sunday, April 27, 2008.

Come by any time after 9 am.

This year's planting marks the 19th anniversary.  10,000 Trees has reclaimed over 140 acres of fragile watershed lands.  But they can't do it without the energetic participation of everyone that comes out to plant.

What to bring?

  • A shovel & Bucket - they can provide it if needed.
  • Work gloves
  • Waterproof boots
  • Your family and friends.
  • your appetite - lunch is provided

Students - Be sure to sign in at the registration tent before you plant so you can be counted for the community service hours.
